I’m A Veteran Will The VA Pay For My Funeral Expense?

  1. For service-related deaths the VA will pay up to $2,000.
  2. For non-service deaths the VA will pay as follows:
  3. The VA will pay up to $796 if death is in the VA hospital.
  4. The VA will pay up to $300 if death is not in the VA hospital
  5. The VA will pay an additional $796 allowance for plot-interments if internment is outside of the national cemetery.
