There are numerous riders with final expense they all vary by insurance company. Most of them are as follows:
- Accelerated death benefit- In case of a terminal illness, while you’re still living, you can withdraw some or all your death benefit.
- Accidental death & dismemberment- Your policy will pay an additional amount if death is by accident. If you lose a limb, you may receive an advance on your benefits. The benefit may extend to spouse and children.
- Children/Grandchildren – May pay a minimum life benefit for your minor children or grandchildren.
- Chronic-illness – In case you’re suffering from a non-terminal chronic illness you can withdraw some or all your benefit.
- Critical illness in the case of certain named illnesses, which may include a heart attack or stroke, you can withdraw some or all your benefits.
- Long-term care – Pay you an advance for your long-term care needs.
- Waiver of premium for disability or unemployment– Premiums are waived If you become disable or unemployed and can no longer pay your premiums.
